About our Group Classes
Fetch Canine is passionate about teaching humans how to train and raise their puppies and dogs, to be calm, happy, and well-mannered using positive reinforcement training methods.
We design our dog training classes to be force-free, fear-free, pain-free, caring, and safe for dogs, both emotionally and physically.
We do not use training methods that are physically or psychologically intimidating.
Our certified dog trainers are CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainers-Knowledge Assessed) through the CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers).

Learning for Littles
5 Weeks - $150/Course
Calling all small dogs! The world of a small dog is quite different from their larger counterparts. In this small dog specific class, we will work on communication, basic cues, impulse control, leash/barrier reactivity issues, canine body language and discuss why small dogs are often misunderstood.
Puppy Manners
5 Weeks - $150/Course
Our 5-week program will focus on the foundations that will help your puppy become a well-behaved family member! We will be working on basic obedience, impulse control, leash manners, beginner recall, polite greetings, waiting at the door, appropriate play with toys, relaxation, and handling desensitization. Your puppy will also learn appropriate play with other puppies.
This class is designed for puppies up to 5 months old
Basic Obedience

Our 5-week program focuses on teaching your dog appropriate behavior and good manners in real life situations. You will learn key concepts/strategies to motivate the dog and train your dog according to its needs. We will teach basic skills such as sit, down, stay, come and checking in. Leash manners, not jumping, leave it, drop it and polite greetings are taught using a variety of fun activities and positive methods.
This class is designed for dogs 5 months and older.

Basic Obedience

Reactive Rover
5 Weeks - $190/Course
Walking a dog with reactivity issues can be stressful making walks unenjoyable. In our 5-week Reactive Rover class we have two main goals:
1. To provide owners with critical handling skills so that they are confident and equipped to deal with the triggers and challenges that may arise in their everyday environment
2. To provide the dogs with the coping skills necessary to exist more comfortably in the presence of triggers that previously provoked heightened levels of fear, anxiety, and reactivity.
This class is limited to four dogs. This class is for leash/object reactivity, NOT dogs who have aggression towards other dogs/people.
Testy Teenagers
5 Weeks - $150/Course
Do you live with a dog that is between 6month and 2 years of age? Have they lately, seemingly forgotten their name? Do they walk in the opposite direction when you ask them to do something? Do you feel that they’re pushing your buttons, acting out or rebelling? Welcome to life with a teenage dog! Thanks to hormones an immature brain and a new found independence you are most likely facing some of the most challenging times in your relationship. Don’t worry, you are certainly not alone. In a fun and rewarding environment and through a combination of skills and games, this class will help you navigate through this challenging time.
Greeters Anonymous
5 Weeks - $150/Course
Are you struggling with your dogs over zealous behaviour with visitors to your door? Do they dash out the door, knock over visitors with their jumping or bark at the delivery guy? Through skill building and play, this eager greeter class focuses on channeling their behavior from eager to polite.
Prerequisite
Dogs must have completed Basic Obedience, Puppy Manners, or Reactive Rover. Dogs must be able to work around other dogs. Due to the nature of the class, we cannot accept people reactive dogs.
Rally Obedience
5 Weeks - $150/Course
Rally obedience is a dog sport where the handler and the dog complete a sequenced course based on obedience commands dictated by signs along the way! Each sign has a different obedience command to complete and you are judged based on accuracy of commands at each sign and time to complete the course.
Class Requirements

Knowledge of basic obedience commands required (polite heel, sit, down, stand, touch, stay/wait) as we will be using these to learn the Novice rally obedience signs

Reactivity/aggression to other dogs or people will not be allowed as this is a group class environment

Equipment requirements

Flat buckle collar or safety collar

6 foot leash, ½-1 inch wide fabric or neoprene leash preferred

High-value treats (non-crumbly), or toy if toy-motivated
Agility Foundations Introduction to Flatwork
5 Weeks - $150/Course
This class will teach the foundational behaviors required to start agility training with the ability to practice at home with few equipment requirements including:

Target training

Wrapping obstacles

Basic handling maneuvers and terminology

Intro to tunnel entries

Planks and perch work (back end awareness)

Shaping behaviors specific to agility handling

Directional cues

Ways to build drive/confidence in your dog through games

Warm-up and cool-down exercises
Pre-requisites:

Basic obedience (sit, down, stay, reliable recall)

NO reactivity or aggression to people or dogs. MUST be able to work in a group environment as there will be several activities happening at once.
If staff observes aggressive/reactive behavior, we cannot have you and your dog as part of this class for safety reasons -
Dog must be physically capable of completing agility behaviors
